What do you experienced guys think of the Sig2340? Decent gun? Any knowledgable opinions appreciated. Thanks, Harv.

My good friend has one in .40SW that he went to from a USP. It's pretty nice, nicer feeling and shooting than the USP I think. The interchangeable backstraps are nice. The biggest issue is the lack of available pre-ban high caps for MA residents.

He put a new spring set in it and it really helped out the DA trigger pull.

A great, totally underrated pistol.

I used to work at the range at SIG and have shot thousands of them. I liked them so much I bought one.

The head of the custom shop at SIG once told me that the Sigpro line is the one model that they don't see much of in the repair shop because its so good.

Had a 2340 in 40 that I carried for 3 years, and was used when I got it. Probably 1500 rounds in that period with no malfunctions. Rained on, snowed on, underwater twice - just kept shooting. I found it was accurate, and easy to shoot, even for a lefty.

No preban mags in MA is it's biggest liability - it's second biggest is that the light rail is not an industry standard size, and only fits Sig accessories built for it. The 2022 that replaced the 2340 went to a standard rail.
