Pre ban purchase?

With the Gubna of RI planning to ramrod a ban of sales of "assault rifles", I'm wonder if I should preemptively purchase an AR15. Ive always wanted one, gawd knows why, but have been putting it off.
My limited retirement budget is one reason, so even if I cant afford one right now, i could buy a lower receiver, which would make me technically in possesion before the ban.
Any other Rhodeislanders thinking or doing the same?
Poverty ponies are $36 a piece. For a buck more, you can get a poverty snake.

Should buy as many as you can while you still can. AR parts are still 'unregulated'... for now. Biden did try to ban all 'assault weapon parts', including uppers, bolts, springs, etc. Maybe everything will be banned when Democrats take back control of all three branches again, who knows. But for now, buy as many as you can and bury them all over the state.

Well... not really. Or you wouldn't be worrying about getting 10-round mags for "alternatives to" the rifles you're entitled to own. You'd be grabbing standard-cap mags and slapping them into ARs and AKs, then daring McKee to come and take them

At least be honest. You're looking for ways to stay legal. Many of us here are no longer interested in that shit.
Yes, no doubt trying to stay legal, or fly under the radar. But I'm not sure what you mean by "no longer interested in that shit". Staying legal? If so, I'm with you but still want to be able to do what I want and be left alone.

Not interested in bending over backward and punching myself in the nads merely for the sake of following a law that was senselessly written and passed in a fit of butthurt.

Enough is enough.

Knowing that I have (buried) items that can never be replaced.
Your such a clown.

You can buy lowers for 30 dollars and there are millions for sale in America in free states. All you have to do is move.

OP. Buying lowers is fine. But if your law says you cant build them out or outlaws parts. They are paperweights. Odds are your not selling them as the law will likely outlaw transfers as well.

If your buying lowers you better buy parts and uppers to go with them.
