Ran a Mag Through the Wash

Title says it all. Was folding laundry and found a loaded magazine in a pair of shorts I had just washed and dried. It was too hot to hold.

My plan is to just run through the ammo at the range, but I’m bummed because it’s expensive carry ammo. What are the chances that I damaged the cartridges by washing/drying them?

Any good ammo will be fine but there is a slight risk one may not go bang, so sorry, no longer good for defense.

Probably want to check the mag body and spring. Laundry detergent, heat... I'd be afraid of some rusting. Probably need to lightly lube the metal pieces.

I've accidentally ran ammo through the wash. I did what everyone else said and just shot em for practice.

This. I’ve shot some of my reloads that went through the washer and it shot just fine.
Just shoot it up. It’s not going to cost you thousands to replace the ammo
