a lot of great clubs i want to join around where i live like Mass Rifle Assoc. but their guest rules are making me look else where.
i usually go shooting with my girlfriend and a buddy who both don't have their LTC's so they can't join a club either. i live 10 min North of Boston but willing to travel a little. i shoot mostly rifles so a 100+ yrd would be really nice. any recommendations is appreciated. thanks!

Mass rifle doesn't require an LTC to join as far as I know. There's a line on the form for LTC/FID number, but no requirement you fill that out.

Woburn Sportsmens also doesn't, and has a nice 50/100/200 Yard range.

Is there a reason that they can't or won't get licensed? A FID is "shall issue" unless there's a statuartory DQ.

Even without a FID there are lots of clubs that will take members without a license if they agree to a CORI check. It's pretty common practice for people who live in "chicken and egg" towns that won't issue an LTC without a club membership.

I hear mystic valley in Malden is laid back. And it's 24 hours so you're bound to be in there alone at times.

Pistol and rimfire rifles only though. The OP said he was looking for at least a 100 yard rifle range, so Mystic's probably not the right place for him.
