Recoil

It's real. The case holds about 178 grains of Reloader 19, maximum loads hit at over 11,000 ft/lbs. but that's too much for the average shooter. Normal loads (6,500-8,500 ft/lbs) have about the same recoil as the .460 Weatherby magnum. The velocity will range between 2,400-2,700fps, but they use big freakin bullets.

African hunters like Woodleigh bullets out of these for Rhino. The moderate loads have a ton of recoil. Not a fun rifle to shoot!

Edit, btw it's the .577 Tyrannosaur.

Approximate numbers. (I got these from the internet so they must me true)
.50 = 15,000 joules
.577 = 13,700 joules
.30-06 = 3,000 joules
AK-74 = 2,045 joules

For those interested in doing the math - - multiply joules by approximately .74 to get the more familiar (to US shooters, anyway) foot-lbs.
