I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask this, but there was no 'repair' forum so here we go..

I've got a Remington Wingmaster 870 that I used to trap shoot with when I was a teenager. I noticed a problem with it ejecting shells the last time I used it. Fast forward about 8 years, I would like to start shooting again so I dug it out and found the problem.

The guide where the ejector spring sits in has a tip on it which locates in the barrel. This tip has broken off. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to take it for repair? or if I could possibly do the repair myself?

Searching the net I found its a somewhat common problem, and most say its not a difficult fix, but there's no real 'how-to' for fixing it..

Thanks for the help![smile]

Unless you have the tools and knowledge, it's cheaper to have a Remington gunsmith replace the parts.

You need a rivet cutter, the installation punches, 2 rivets in case you can't save the old ones, the ejector and spring.

If you can't save the old rivets, then you are into milling the heads or filing if you are carefull and refinishing the receiver.
