I have a 1969 Remington 870 Wingmaster that has a shell latch in need of re-staking and was wondering if Remington offers a service such as Glock where you just send the firearm in and they inspect/replace parts as needed without any B.S..

Why not call them and ask. I have no idea but expect that they would help you out.

They are currently closed and I might not get the chance to give them a call during the day, but most importantly because I would like to hear of other peoples experiences (that have dealt with Remington) so that I know what to expect when I do get the chance!

Try Email?

I've owned a Rem 1100 Skeet gun since ~1977, never had any problems so no contact with Remington.

Remington / Para sold me the biggest POS pistol imaginable. They had it for1 1/2 months and told me it was fixed. Got it back and all they replaced was 1 screw ( still a huge POS ) I was then told that the pistol was "in spec" and there was nothing I could do.

A made daily emails and phone calls to the head of the customer serivce dept for weeks that went unanswered. When I finally did recieve an answer I was told they could give me two free mags for my trouble. I then explained that I had already missed the $100 rebate because I had be told by the Remington rep that I could not mail in the rebate and then exchange the pistol. It was the Remington sales rep that thought at very least the pistol should be repalced.

After 2 more weeks of back and forth, with me calling daily and posting pictures of their POS gun on their Facebook page they finally agreed to give me my money back. They sent a return label and I sent it back, with the Pro miss of my money back within 2 weeks of receipt of the pistol

That was 5 weeks ago

You couldn't pay me to use Remington or their warranty / customer service. The shop refers to Remington repair / warranty dept as the "Black Hole" guns go in, never to be seen again. ( remington had one customers 700 for 9 months before they finally decided they "lost it" a Marlin lever gun that was returned because they forgot to install the front sight and LEVER was there for over 4 months

I had some issues with my 1100 few years back. After back and fourth with rem I felt between the shipping and time lost I would just tackle it myself.... I no longer have the tool!!! I lent it out to a friend ..........gone.
If your creative you could make a tool also.
