Resized 223 too short to trim?

So humor me for sec: now that I have my trimming somewhat sorted, I'm building up a load of Hornady 75gn BTHP with H335 starting at 22 gr. All the manuals that I have (Lyman and Speer) start with a case length of 1.750" and an OAL of 2.390". With the shorter case that I'm using (by 0.010", would I make the OAL 2.380" ?

Not finding much verified data on this bullet with this powder.

Edit: and I literally just now realize that this setup won't work in a standard AR15 mag (too long). Would have to be single shot every time. I swear I'm surprised I haven't blown myself up yet :)

2.260" vs 2.390" with the same bullet

Double edit: after stopping @ Shooters Supply in Westport to pick up some supplies (including the Hornady manual) I found my problem. I was using the 75 gr Amax bullet OAL (2.390)

Seems fairly obvious that you don't really know what you're doing. Maybe take a class and get to the point of understanding some critical aspects of reloading before you injure yourself, someone else or destroy your gun/s or all three.

Actually, I took EddieCoyle's class back in February. I haven't had the chance to take the Precision Rifle Class yet.

That powder is too fast for a 75gr bullet.

That's why you're not finding data.

Look into TAC, CFE223, Varget, IMR 4166, etc.

I love the 75 BTHPs in ARs.

Seat to 2.250, max of 2.255 on 23.0 of Varget.

That's an excellent accuracy load in both my 16" guns.

I always load my heavier bullets to 2.260" in 223.

I've been a fan of IMR4895 with 69gr Nosler Comp Customs lately in my ARP barrel.

H335 is too fast for 75gr, IMO
