Hey all,

took on my dads Rossi out to the range this morning. I haven't shot this gun since I was 5, my brother had it and I got it along with the rest of his guns when he passed away a couple years ago, he hadn't used it because he claimed it needed a firing pin.

The firing pin works fine but I found that it won't feed if I load more then 2 rounds at a time, if I don't use the plunger and operate it like a gravity feed BB gun it functions flawlessly which makes me think maybe it's the magazine putting to much pressure on the rounds? It's the only tube feed I have other than my pump shotgun so I'm not sure if this is even a possibility. I would like to get it functioning again, fun little rifle and accurate out to the 75yrd I was plinking at today before the cold got to me.

Thanks in advance.

My dad's Rossi 62 is very fussy about ammo. Brands it doesn't like won't feed at all. I'd try some different ones first. It is possible that the mag spring is putting on too much pressure, I guess. You could take the plunger apart and shorten the spring. Measure it first so if clipping the spring doesn't work you can get a new one from Wolff.
