Ok, we've narrowed down our two choices for my son's/my first .22 rifle to the Ruger 10/22 and the Marlin 60. I know alot of people love the Ruger because of all the modifications you can do, but we don't think we are going to want to drop a bunch of loot on modifications other than a scope. We want a gun that is good to go out of the box and is dependable and accurate. We have tried a friends Marlin and we liked it, but only used it one night indoors at 50ft and we were both had consistant half dollar size groupings. We don't know anyone with a Ruger to compare it. So we are looking for help from our fellow NESers for your opinions. Thanks
