Ruger mini 14 ranch

in dire need of a front sight for a new style (580 series) mini 14 or a gun smith who can get one and install in the western mass area ... ruger wont sell me one or my FFL only they will only install at the factory, and sending a rifle both ways seems expensive and hectic anybody have ideas??

sending a rifle is a lot less of a hassle than sending a handgun/pistol. For starters it can go regular ground UPS. If the front sight fell off Ruger should make good on the repair for nothing. Generally Ruger will fix almost anything that breaks on their guns,your fault,their fault,no one's fault.

thanks 7.62 but mine has the new winged sight ruger only sells them with them installing them which were looking at over 100 , i was also thinking since its scoped maybe cutting the barrel and recrowning ?? any ideas would be good
