Safes: Amsec lp5924w vs Sentry GS5251

Anyone have familiarity with these two safes? They are both available for approx $700 and seem to offer similar features. Any opinions would be helpful or maybe I'll just flip a coin.

I have that Amsec safe and its very nice... I don't have anything to say on the Sentry.

They both look kind of small.

Dicks has a sale on safes every know and then,check it out before you make up your mind.

Those prices aren't delivered and they seem kind of steep.

For that size safe, those prices are WAY too high!

With all the research I did that is not an unreasonable price- especially if its delivered.

To get a "real" safe fire-rated/etc.. that holds 8-10 guns your not going to get it under $500--- not atleast in MA or NH that i searched for about 9-12 months.

Check out the Eastern Safe ad in last months Goal Messenger. They've got a decent safe on sale for around $700. It the old style one that they said was 637 lbs and the new ones were going to be 540 lbs or so. It looked like a decent quality safe that might be worth looking into before you buy something else.

I ended up buying online. Got a ProStaff safe by Sentry. Loads of room in there and it's water and fire rated to boot.
