So, I was putting together my lower receiver last night, when I got to the selector switch. when I put it into the receiver it didn't quite go all the way in, when I looked at the hole to put the detent and spring in the hole for the selector switch didn't quite match up with the one on the frame. after much fiddling I figured i'd try installing it and see what'd happen.
The selector switch does work, and the detent did go in, but switching the selector between modes is pretty rough, it puts a decent amount of force to switch between modes.
Everything else in the kit fits fine and I think the problem is a flared out area on the switch side.
My question. Should I leave it how it is, try a different selector, or take a file to it?
Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!
