Actually, the muzzle brake on the Serbu is supposed to be effective enough to easily allow off-hand shooting. Mark does this many times when he demos the rifle.

I owned a BFG Carbine (#471) and it is comparable to shooting 12ga. 2 3/4 slugs. The muzzle brake is extremely effective, but you will get some concussion shooting under an overhang. It feels like getting slapped right in the sinuses. Out in the open they are a complete joy to shoot...just be sure to have plenty of ammo.

I have that same rifle. Take my word on it. Unless you have a very tight connection between your shoulder and the butt pad, you will get bruised. (Don't ask) It's hard to get a good tight connection when your trying to aim a 39 lbs rifle.
