A disturbing pattern of out-of-control kids is being overserved in several US cities. This might result from progressive leadership in City Halls failing to enforce law and order while supporting disastrous 'defund the police' efforts that have transformed city streets into war zones in a few short years. The latest example of this chaos comes from an inner-ring suburb of the city of St. Louis in St. Louis County, Missouri.

Local television station KMOV released a shocking video of kids pointing guns at a smart door camera of a home on the 700 block of Vernon. The five kids were strapped with pistols and semi-automatic rifles. They were seen knocking on the door, while one said, "Open that door, man."

airsoft?

"“Being a gun owner myself, I do think there should be more gun control considering I went to Cabela’s to buy a flannel, and I bought my first gun,” Green says."

This paragraph from the initial story sums up the problem very neatly:

We must ask the tough questions: Why are these kids radicalized to violence? Is it because of violent video games, violent movies, and or music that preaches violence? Or perhaps it could be due to fatherless homes and the lack of stable households? Or what about the failed education system and faltering welfare-driven local economies that leaves kids with limited room for success?

I would make one addition to the list. Does blaming other people for your problems ("systemic racism" "white supremacy") actually help you solve them?

These are hard truths that progressives and "social justice warriors" refuse to confront.

No I did not, I do not pay that much attention to Missouri politics.
I am paying more and more attention to Missouri politics...the difference between rural Missouri and cities is like night and day here. That being said, there are some real bonehead politicians here on both sides of the aisle.

There are very few politicians that are not boneheads. Single digit territory.

St. Louis is a democrat controlled sewer. I live 60 miles south and it’s like a different world
St. Louis, Jeff City, KCMO and Columbia are all Dem controlled cities and all pretty much shitholes. Say what you want, but Springfield isn't because it's the Buckle of the Bible Belt. It's still a pretty decent city by all standards. Most libs don't like living there because of the religious proclivity. Decent people seem to running the city. The mayor is non-partisan and nothing I can find says how he votes and he is very tight lipped about it.

If you look at the background in that video it looks like the typical projects in the Midwest. It's not like they were in a middle class neighborhood. They were definitely within their own stomping grounds

A client had this happen on Monday at his house in Pee-body. 5 guys all in black with hoods on in yard, moving towards doors. He opens a window, "WTF, dudes?"

"You better get out here you little B-word!"

And then the "head" guy tries to break the window of his truck.

He called 911.

By the time the Po-po (shoulda said GUN!) arrived, they were gone - drove away. Clearly they are tough, but had the wrong address. LOL. Brave but stupid, I guess.

He made me proud. "I think I'm gonna buy a gun." Good idea. I'd have stepped out with a extended mag shotgun while on the phone with 911.

No. You are incorrect.

They were on the 700 block of Vernon in University City. Vernon is a main street and it has your basic middle class ranch type houses in general. Solid middle class.

Travel a block or two off of Vernon into University City and you are solidly in the upper class area. Think $1m houses.

Is this a case where shooting through the door is acceptable? Just trying to figure out what scenario Biden was getting at...
