An employee shot a customer during an argument yesterday at the Brockton store. The customer allegedly pulled a knife and the employee shot him. Sounds good except the employee fled the store and has been missing ever since. Oh, and he's eighteen.

It's going to be interesting to see what comes out of this.

I just know that is wishful thinking on your part as "misery loves company". That slut needs to get elected first, then she needs to have the legislature in support of her communistic desires. John Lynch was a fairly moderate democrat and he did not have full support of the legislature.
I love how you guys in NH keep saying crap like this. It’s only a matter of time boys.

"No. No. It's only the mASSwholes that do that." [rofl] [rofl]

People who moved to NH for "freedumb" in the last 30-40 years forget that NH is basically, politically Vermont-East. I had several lifer NH residents - lakes region - as clients over the years. Every last one of them is/was a die-hard liberal who believed in hunting and then. . . . . well, wait a second.

(One client handed in his guns after Newtown. Just went to the police station and handed them in. Because. . . . ??? His son, PROUDLY tells the story. Not sure if Dad was afraid he'd wake up one morning and decide to shoot up an elementary school or what.)

If we went back to ORIGINAL NH residents of, say. . . 40 years ago and then brought them to today's natural progression, the gun laws of NH would be worse than MA already. No one wants to admit that.

It's like the Whatever Tribe saying "Hey, the white man took our land." Hold up, Hiawatha. Were you the first people here??? "Well no, we defeated the Ugly Knees to gain this land. . . . oh wait."

I was waiting for more of the story. I love how the victim is in the hospital.
No, the victim fled the scene because a stupid law made a proper self defense tool illegal for him. The shitbag in the hospital is the attacker.

If those are the facts, Good Shoot, but the kid is still screwed.
It won't happen in Mass, but could something like this be used to fight the age limit? The kid wasn't a danger to anyone until threatened, he had a legitimate need for a proper self defense tool, and the only thing he did long was not abide by an arbitrary age requirement and an illegal license requirement. It really sucks when the only thing the kid did wrong was not get permission. I'd literally give my left nut to be a member of that jury (married, over 50, two kids already, I can spare it).

That's just their pipe dream, hasn't happened yet. Meanwhile, this weekend my 12 year old son legally broke his CCW cherry by walking around two stores with "his" Glock 21, I was supervising and he was never more than 10 feet from me. He felt super weird, like everyone could see it, lol. I told him it takes about 100 times of going out in public before you really get used to carrying it. By the time the 2A is repealed and we're all felons, he'll be comfortable and not give any nervous tells.

It was sarcasm. Lol!

Anecdotal, but the handful of people I know who are from NH are more liberal than the people I know who moved to NH from MA. Id be willing to bet more than half of the people moving from MA to NH are political refugees who are right of center or Libertarian.

That's what I'm seeing as well. Then again, where I'm at, you're not moving here if you still want to work / play / visit Mass. The people born here tend to have kids that are running away as soon as they can, and seem to have a "there oughtta be a law" mentality. The people that moved here from somewhere else, 90% do not want to make it like where they left.

Example - we were discussing church security at a meeting, and one of our elders (a Navy and Army Reserve vet) said that "you know, people need to go through training and be authorized before they can carry in church, you can't just bring a gun in." I told him "your Army is showing" - inferring that he had that mentality of "don't give the troops a weapon or a hot plate unless they've sat through enough training classes to earn a doctorate". But maybe he's just a closeted liberal....

I've shopped there many times without a problem. Of course I don't get into fights with other customers or employees. I go in, buy what I need, leave.

Not a lot of hardened criminals shopping there. Mostly older ladies. If I were a single older guy, I'd hang around there to pick up widows and divorcees! ;)
Ocean State and Brockton.

Should be a no brainer to avoid at all costs.

My speculation is that the customer may not have been a customer of the store itself. Seems like to knuckleheads got into a beef about something. One may or may not have pulled a knife on the other.

I'd like to know what kind of relationship, if any, the two combatants had?

I know enough about self defense to know that if you leave the scene and come back then shoot, your self defense claim is out the window.

Also, the cops frown on people who leave the scene of the action and don't wait around for the police to arrive.

"The guilty flee where no man pursues."

I read he left and got a gun then came back to shoot. Not good.

I wouldn't say these guys have "Wishfull" thinking more along the lines of they are tired of asshats shitting all over them for living in Massachusetts, it's easy for some big mouth on a soap box to tell them to "Move or they get what they deserve" or other bullshit

First thing I did when I moved to NH is see how I could actually help my friends in Mass

Don't sleep on NH turning more blue than it already is, same for Maine

It can happen if the people who live in NH continue to think that it's ma**h***s that are turning the state blue. I'm sure you know that most people who move to NH move because they hate the politics here. We're moving, but not to NH for the same reason.

It's the schools and public libraries in every state that are working to poison the minds of children and turn them into Socialist robots. Go to school committee meetings and keep them honest. Get on the board of trustees of your public library and review every book they want to buy, especially for the children's section. You'll be shocked to see the Socialist tripe that passes for kids books.

Most of all, if you have kids reinforce conservative values and deprogram them from the indoctrination they're getting in school.

Agreed.

But there should be a window of time, like 2 hours, where when threatened with deadly force, you have the right to go and get the proper tools and friends to resolve the issue and still call it self defense. Maybe that would be "self offense"?

Oh to be emperor.
