Has anyone here used Choate Dragunov style stocks? I have two rifles, a 10/22 that I covered in a previous post, and a Norinco SKS that have Choate stocks on them. The accuracy on the SKS improved by leaps and bounds. My initial reason for changing was because I didn't like the sling swivel placement (on the side of the buttstock where my cheek would get chewed up) and the length of pull was lousy. After changing the stock I knew I had to go further so I added a recoil buffer and bought a drill and tap scope mount from Choate as well so I can use a compact scope w/out the receiver cover mounts that often loosen up and need to be removied for disassembly. I haven't put that on yet but will show results when i'm done. Heres what I have now with the Choate stock (SKS on the bottom).
