Sons Of Liberty--Anybody In Dire Need Of AR Mags?

Gawd, I hate this state. Larry won't ship me followers and springs to MA! Fortunately the ram will.
I'm trying to decide if I'm pissed at Larry. Maybe he's doing the only thing he can to apply pressure on us to fix our own state.

ETA: It looks like we should be stocking up on mag maintenance parts since springs and little pieces of plastic may become even more difficult to get in the future[rolleyes]

I have ordered them before, and just placed an order for more.

Sorry to say and I've said it here before, Midway USA are weak and I'm not bashing them for it but they are one of those businesses that don't want to bother with people in certain states so I'm one of those people who won't deal with them even after I move out of the RI cesspool. There are other companies that have balls and will deal with us stuck behind the iron curtain and those are the businesses that I will gladly give my $ to and will remember even in a free state

f*** that guy. Let me know what you need or how many maintainance kits via Pm and I’ll find it and ship it discreetly to you Bob. Not a problem.

I can understand 20 rounders but why 10? You talking AR?
it's just so much easier to bench rest. When I do plates I usually use 20 rounders max.

I also find that I will go through a lot less ammo if I use smaller magazines. And ammo is expensive so its working out well for me.

The only gun i run 30's on is my Steyr AUG and thats because I only have 30 and 40 round magazines for it. The 10's are difficult/expensive to get.

Is everyone using Magpul anti-tilt followers, or are there other options? I'm now the proud possessor of some ancient 30rnd OKs and the followers seem pretty tippy. Or, since they were good enough for dad they are good enough for me and I should stop believing what I read on the internet?
The old tippy ones are fine in 20 rounders, magpuls are nice in 30 rounders, although you will likely have a 29 rounder once you put the magpul anti-tilt in.

Ranger plates are also nice if you don't mind removing the original floor plate. You may have a 28 or 29 round mag if you do both anti-tilts and floorplates. I like the ranger plates because they should take some stress off the magazine body if leaned on something or dropped, it's just makes the pre-ban status less obvious to a casual observer. It's totally fine to do if you want though.

I'm going to get some magpul 10/30's for training once my credit card cools down a bit lol

The 10/30's will fit in pouches or chest rig slots, but unlike preban's they arent a priceless relic. And like you said, helps save money.

When I bought my first AR I remember buying 5 30 rounders when I picked it up and the next week I finally went to the indoor range I belong to and had to buy a 10 rounder for decent $ because I couldn't sight it in with the 30 rounders in it!! Found out that 10 rounders definitely have their place

The actual 10 and 20 round pmags are really solid.

10 should be ok in MA?

I have a couple tens, they work fine. They make a 10 round mag in a 30 round sized body usually called a 10/30, its basically a factory blocked mag for ban states.

The 10/30's will feel and handle like a standard capacity mag, they will fit in your belt or chest rig pouches, and they look the part if you care about such things.

Yeah they are good for guys who are in ban states.

I am actually surprised they go through the effort i cant imagine its very profitable

Cams, great of you to offer [thumbsup].
I'm all set though. The ram is still shipping mag parts to everywhere but Australia. They took my order today, no problem.

Magpul makes polymer stuff, its probably all incredibly profitable. Same reason Gaston Glock was a billionaire. Cheap, simple, polymer products with a premium reputation.

It helps that CA is a ban state. 4x the gun ownership rate of MA, and 7x the population. Over 25x larger customer base. That's why some companies won't even ship legal items to MA, they don't consider it worth their time for the small customer base.
