Out of State Private Sale

You make the deal, pay the seller and get a signed and notarized (some states, not all) title and bill of sale.

Also make sure the buyer has a ffl and remember to include a copy of your driver's license while shipping..

I can personally ship an 03 eligible rifle with my 03 FFL license to an out of state FFL.

That being said

Can personally ship an 03 eligible rifle with my 03 FFL license to an out of state FFL03 license holder?

Thanks
Of course. That's... kind of the entire point of having the 03 FFL. In your A&D, it's an FFL to FFL transfer.

The place in Lancaster is the Pack and Postal Center. I'll call them tomorrow and see if they also provide insurance options.
Try not to drool, they have a lot of nice old guns and milsurps in there. I didn't see any 99's in there, but they have a lot of nice old fudd guns too.

lol, I did see see that Mark. I wish I was 20 again but I ain't. A major milestone for me Monday in that the first of my 99's went to a new home. No lie, it freakin hurt but it's time to move on.

Hope things are going well for you.

Things are well.....we are doing pretty good here. Hope you are as well.....

I can certainly see why this pains you......sorry. Im sure it hurt.

I need to do the same with some of my old guns too...already jettisoned a nice pristine 50's 742 Remington with a 50's period scope on it, and a Savage 99 in .243 with the same type 50's scope. Got more than I paid selling on gunbroker....but it still hurt.

Ive gotten rid of a lot of dead weight as well, but things they dont make anymore that are classic....kinda sting.

I mostly did this cause I can now get stuff I couldn't get before and Im getting a basic amount of ammo, mags and AR's, PCC and Glocks with as much redundant mags/ammo together for what I consider basic rest of my life HD toolkit I can bag up and take with me at a moments notice. Im almost done that.

Plus if I want to get into cans and all that, its not cheap.....still deciding on that. But I love the AR pistols and building up my glock type pistols from scratch as well.

Also going thru and culling different calibers to try to get down to redundant powders I can use for shotgun and pistol....and picking rifle caliber. I thought i had 6.5 nailed down as the pick, but having fun with .300 blk...I might go back to .308 as then I just need to stock one bullet. Right now both is OK, because I have a shit ton of 6.5 I got cheap and the dies and powder for it. When I run out of it all, I'll think on it then.

I have a set amount of guns going to my son.....and that is not getting touched. Lot of them heirlooms, Browning A-5's, Ruger #1, Ruger O/Us, Belgian BAR type stuff...I won't shoot but I'll never sell unless he wants me to just sell it. He's not as much into guns/hunting as I am and he's just getting started hopefully when he's settled and older he will come back a bit to it. We still do bird trips every year, but he's not a deer hunter really.

At some point, I have a lot of O/U shotguns moderate end like CZ/Browning.......when I get older and don't shoot them all the time Ill need to get those paired down too. But right now....those are getting heavy use weekly down here.

You are a FFL. You can conduct any 03 to 03 FFL transaction so as long as you follow state law.

You can directly bring the rifles to a NH dealer as well and have them sell / ship / consign for you. I do this all the time for MA residents, including facilitating private party transfers for people "out of their four" for the year. Hell, I have a whole section for MA residents including "08/01 stuff" that gets brought to me and I resell. I even directly transfer C&R items to MA residents with a C&R license in-store. And I'm not the only out-of-state shop that does this. You can sell on Gunbroker and ship either as an individual (if the FFL allows it) or as a 03 to another 03 dealer. Don't call MA asking for advice. It's a useless and demoralizing endeavor.

The only state I know of that requires everything to go through an in-state dealer is CA, and that is because they have waiting periods a tightly worded DROS system.

Read the above.

You are making way more of this than is necessary. Stop calling people who don't want guns to exist.

An 03 FFL/C&R can sell and ship C&R eligible firearms to other 03 FFL/C&R holders to most states, California is not one of them.
If either one of you do not hold an 03 FFL/C&R then it must go through an 01 FFL, unless it's going to an 03 FFL/C&R holder.
If they have an 03FFL/C&R the firearm must be sent to the address on the license and nowhere else unless it's an 01FFL
If whatever you are selling is not C&R eligible send it to an FFL in their state.

You need to go to the BATFE website and learn what you can and cannot do or you will not like the end results. Don't take other peoples opinions and Stop calling anyone else. Most people do not know.
