With a heartfelt thanks to Representative William Straus (D) of Mattapoisett and Representative George Peterson (R) of Grafton, along with tireless work by the staff at GOAL, a great injustice was averted.

If you think GOAL isn't doing anything or they are just "Black Rifle and handgun guys", please read this article:

I love this part:

Thanks to GOAL and Representatives Straus and Peterson, the good guys won this time. It appears Representative Murphy has committed political suicide. As Murphy's Law says, "what can go wrong, will go wrong." How's Wrong Way Murphy sound?

"While the treatment and rehabilitation of nongame animals may well be a worthwhile endeavor, it is not the appropriate use of sportsmen's funds generated for conservation programs," Wallace said. "For nearly a century, sportsmen/women and gun owners have led the way in wildlife management and land conservation. In doing so, we willingly funded the majority of these efforts when all others have refused to do so. It's not fair to take what we have worked so hard to establish and it's unfortunate that we have to go through such an ordeal to protect the dedicated funding resources for the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife."

Kudos to the staff at GOAL for even more great news that most MSM neglected to cover.
