I just was browsing Four Seasons and saw on their Twitter account that the SR22 is on super sale for 289$ cash or check! If you want this firearm you should go tomorrow and buy it there. Carl will always treat you with respect. Great deal Four Seasons!

What is so great about this place? Been there a few times and not at all impressed. Ammo $ is higher than Collector's in Stoneham, and never had this great "respect" I read about. I take Collector's anyday for price and service. Just my .02

+1 I've been to FS a few times. Not impressed any of those times. Not as friendly to me as Collector's is. I love Collector's!

I also love Collectors. It is always less crowded and the guys there do not seem like you are bothering them when asking questions. The two Jacks are always ready for any questions. I didn't mean to say that FS is superior but I like their selection as well. I do find myself at Collector's more though. [wink]

Also, does anyone here go to Mass Rifle in Woburn? And if so, could I try out the SR22 with my own ammo? I tried the gun once with some Blazer but really want to get a feel for the gun. Thanks!

Yep, I go to MRA. Next time I hit the range, I'll let you know.

Sorry, I'm stupid lol I read your post WRONG. I don't have one ......... sorry. If I did, I would let you try it out though. Maybe I'll get one soon?

Do you guys treat a pistol barrel like a rifle barrel when it comes to cleaning, in other words do not clean the barrel often because of the wax on 22's.

I clean ALL my guns after each range use, because I have OCD. As far as this one goes though, I have yet to clean it and it has functioned flawlessly so far with all the rounds I have put through it in a short period of time. I don't think cleaning any gun all the time hurts anything, IMO.

I put 300 rounds through mine new out of the box no problems whatsoever. 200 bulk federal and 50 of Winchester bulk and 50 of the Rem thunderbolt stuff that doesn't work for crap in my 22 AR upper. I highly recommend the ruger sr22 pistol they did an excellent job with it.

I have had ftf's in 22 for every type of ammo, it is just how it is with rim fire. If this happens once in a while it shouldn't concern you. If it happens a lot then something is wrong.

I picked one up a few weeks ago, I've probably put 2-300 rounds through it, remington and federal, perfect every time. I love it!!

Yeah, I bought some ammo off a guy at my work that was 20+ yrs old, and it even fired that. Some of it didn't shoot well in my other .22's. But in this it has been flawless. I can't recommend this gun enough.

It's just such a fun little gun, cheap to buy and shoot, eats anything, looks good. Can't go wrong!

on the last outing with the sr22 my grandson and i tried some standard velocity ammo and we had some ftf's. when we switched back to the federal bulk high velocity the ftf's disappeared. those were the only feeding problems we've had with it. i will stick to the high velocity with this gun and use up the other standard velocities in our henry rifle. btw the ftf's were with a box of 50 of the new quiet 22's and the others were from some pmc standard velocity that i found in the back of my safe and is about 30 yrs old. the pmc work well in the henry so its not too old.

Love mine, put over 1000 rounds through it. Not one malfunction, about 4-5 bad rounds though, all bad ones were from the Federal bulk box. rounds used where 525 of the Federal box, then about 300 40 year old Remington, and about 500 CCI standard V 40grain.

Sometimes my 10/22 even has FTF from the Federal Bulk and I keep mine running extra clean. I hear only good things about the SR22. Enjoy your new gun.

I have about 1500 rounds through mine now and have had 4 failure to feed and all of them have been federal bulk packs. In all cases I have loaded the same round back in and has worked fine. Have tried both federal and blazer bulk.

It looks like Four Seasons will have SR22's for $289 cash on Tax Free day this Saturday and are accepting rain checks! The P22 will be $269.96 that day only.[rofl] Seems like the SR22 is taking some sales away from Walther! Better buy while you can, tax free.

I'm getting some wear on the slide where the slide stop is. May be a burr on the button. Not a show stopper, but something to look for. I have a thread about it. My brother has the same pistol with no wear on the slide.

I have read other threads about this. I'd see if the button did have a burr but it shouldn't. I'm still debating whether or not to buy one Saturday. I have the cash and everything. Ahhh!

Bought an SR22 two days ago from North Shore for $305 credit card. Love the pistol. Comes with two mags. One of mine was defective. It would fire a couple of rounds and then the trigger was not operable, as if the magazine had been taken out. The previous round fired, ejected and the next round loaded, but no trigger engagement to fire the next round.

To make a long story short, the defective mag would load fine, but after one or two shots it did not stay up in the pistol enough to keep the mag safety mechanism off to allow firing. North Shore simply gave me a new mag and now all is well.

The pistol shot 3 inches low for me at 20 feet. Made a minor sight adjustment and I was grouping ten rapid fire shots within 3 inches at 20 feet. The trigger pull om single action is a dream. Shot Federal bulk, CCI Mini-Mag and Remington Viper without a single problem other than the magazine defect. Have now run close to 800 rounds through it and it loves to fire. Buy this pistol!!
