SR22 pistol mini range report

Yeah, I bought some ammo off a guy at my work that was 20+ yrs old, and it even fired that. Some of it didn't shoot well in my other .22's. But in this it has been flawless. I can't recommend this gun enough.
That reminds me that in a closet at my mother's house, I have 50 rounds of Remington 22LR match from 1964. Will have to bring it back and see what the SR22 does with it. [grin]

Bought an SR22 two days ago from North Shore for $305 credit card. Love the pistol. Comes with two mags. One of mine was defective. It would fire a couple of rounds and then the trigger was not operable, as if the magazine had been taken out. The previous round fired, ejected and the next round loaded, but no trigger engagement to fire the next round.

To make a long story short, the defective mag would load fine, but after one or two shots it did not stay up in the pistol enough to keep the mag safety mechanism off to allow firing. North Shore simply gave me a new mag and now all is well.

The pistol shot 3 inches low for me at 20 feet. Made a minor sight adjustment and I was grouping ten rapid fire shots within 3 inches at 20 feet. The trigger pull om single action is a dream. Shot Federal bulk, CCI Mini-Mag and Remington Viper without a single problem other than the magazine defect. Have now run close to 800 rounds through it and it loves to fire. Buy this pistol!!

My wife's shot a little left, but other than that it has been perfect with a few thousand rounds through it. Enjoy

Shooting Update

I just picked one up last night "Ruger SR22" [grin]

First impressions "Very Nice"

Really looking forward to shooting it! & teaching my son how to shoot with it.

To start off: I did break it down & clean it with BreakFree as soon as I bought it. As I do with most of the guns I have bought.

Plus lubed the rails with Tetra Gun Oil. before shooting.

In the past week I put (2) bricks of ammo through it: Total of 1100 rounds

Not a single FTF, misfire or anything going wrong... It fired FLAWLESSLY & Pretty accurate for a Non-Target Pistol.

"IF" you are in the market for an inexpensive .22LR pistol

($289.99 @ F.S.) I'd say it's a must have!!!!
