If you are really in metro west why the f*** would you need starlink? There are places with no cable or fios in metrowest?

I don't have an answer for you. But you might want to also look at Tmobile Wifi.

I recently got them for internet, works great. No contract, they lock you at the price you pay. We are lcoked around $50/month and it works great.

All at the same time: I streamed movies on 3 TVs (differnet apps), Youtube on 2 phones, Youtube on my work computer, Webex meeting and file download.

It worked fine, no issues.

I have had Webex meetings during storms, streamed movies during storms, no issues.

I have one for my RV (not mounted permanently though). Researching the pole mount I found tons of mount options available on Amazon - I'd pick one there and maybe contact a local roofer, or a contractor who doesn't mind heights, and have them install it on the right side of your house (test it first in your yard - doable without actually signing up).

Where, and how, you run the cable to the router will be your next problem.

Good luck.

That sucks. Honestly wireless is a tool of last resort. Starlink sucks less than the rest of the satellite services but it still sucks.

Huh? I’d say it more depends on your options and it isn’t a cheap alternative.
I thought they had installers available in some locations now.

A simple question on here, it never ceases to amaze me the douche's that come out of the woodwork to troll. Jesus can't we just be civil?? Go ahead, try to rip me apart. Could care less.

The question was of a nature that it was difficult to accept at face value.

A widowed great grandmother with dirty bifocals could install a Starlink. And if you can't do that you don't have a PRAYER of installing the crap that USES Starlink.

Ecco later clarified that they are looking to install on a roof. THAT makes sense. Some people, like me, don't like heights. But that wasn't the original question.

This is the issue you come out from the lurk to address? [laugh]

Either way, Happy New Year.

Right, once the troll brigade dies down...OP, I used a satellite J-mount to install my dish above my roof. The installation kit comes with the grommet that you need. Any competent handyman willing to climb up on the roof can help you out here.
