I've been looking for a range-use only replacement barrel for my Glock 22 due to the stock barrel lacking in chamber support. Today at Rileys I saw a used Storm Lake G22 barrel. I dropped one of my carry rounds in the chamber and there is much more case support, and when I got home I dropped some of my lead .40 reloads in and they didn't bind, so I think the chamber isn't cut too tight, at least for my reloads, which is good.
However, I read that these are "semi drop-in" replacements, while the Lone Wolf ones are "direct drop-in". I am thinking that whatever fitting it needed would already have been done by the previous owner(?), but if I experience problems what would the likely culprit be? In the past I tried a Remsport G22 barrel and the gun would malfunction every round, so I am not sure what to expect.
