Howdy,
I’m contemplating organizing a homesteading education weekend this coming March/April in central ma.
I’m looking for suggestions as to what you’d like to see for lectures, demo or workshops.
I’ve taught at a few classes at other regional homesteading gatherings over the last few years and I think it would be awesome to do one in central Massachusetts.
Some potential topics would be;
Seed saving
Garden tools and garden designs
Seed starting
Foraging
Non electric food preservation
Fermentation
Backyard cannabis
Birds on the homestead
Bees
Composting
Pruning fruit teees, bushes & brambles
Seed saving
Maple syrup & sugar
Pasture management
Mushroom cultivation
Raising grass fed beef
Scythe mowing for smaller scale hay production
Fencing
Backyard rabbits
Raising hogs
Marketing you products
Demos;
Chicken butchering
Canning
Cheese making
Stone work
Blacksmithing
Pottery on the wheel
Cyder/wine making
Sheep shearing
Splitting fire wood w/ maul
Herding/protection dogs
Is this anything that folks here would be interested in attending?
What else would you want to learn about?
Thank y’all for your input!!!!
