Target Sports Delivering Again - Megathread

Just an fyi you can still get Federal HST 9mm for about .54-.58 cpr and normal ball 9mm for .23-.27 cpr.

Remember back in summer of 2020 9mm was up to double that price per round while at the same time you could get 5.56/.223 for almost half of what it costs today.

It’s wise to stock up on calibers that are a good value while waiting for other calibers to come down in price. I don’t expect battle rounds to drop due to war and resource strains. We are in an inflationary cycle that will last a long time.

Watch the popularity of 9mm carbines go through the roof...

9mm PCC’s are insanely popular already. Just look at the market.
Fo sho.
But with 9mm prices staying at 25 cpr, and 5.56/X39 doubling or tripling in price, even those with stockpiles are hesitant to shoot what is now 75 cpr to replace. Imagine how a new AR15 owner feels-shoot 3 mags and just spent $68. Or shoot 90 rds of 9mm carbine for $23.

this is similar to what happened to 5.45...

The New Republic 9 has small flash holes, which makes depriming them a bit of a pain.

I have not had a problem, using Redding T7 press with a Redding die and pin. Other's milage may vary, and I will add I only did a batch of 100. It was just a test after purchasing and shooting some of the Republic last year as I already have plenty of other brass (Federal AE/Speer Lawman/Winchester WB) already cleaned and stored.

I welcome others input and I will pay closer attention when I next get around to reloading some. (I have still have 1400 rounds of it on hand, but that's after about 10K of other 9mm.)

Posts #4 and #6 here:

I'm not the only one who has noticed it, but maybe it was one batch we saw in Jan of this year.

I have not received my rebate. I checked online and it went to processing on 11/13. I did receive a rebate from them earlier this year - went to processing 9/26 and I got the check sometime around 12/9. So I would expect it anytime. If I don’t get it by the end of the month I will reach out to them. They certainly don’t rush the payment.

It finally came. Only took 6+ months.

I thought I had just finished off my Target sports branded 9mm from a couple years ago.

Then I found another case. No clue how much of it I had bought lol

Speer Gold Dot 124 g hp, 50cpr with ammo can. Free shipping. Unless I'm missing something, it's 10 cpr cheaper than the next closest price, plus you get a can. 🤷‍♂️ (Even though it looks plastic)

Are we still talking in code for non-target sports vendors? If so, it's at the "fast" place.
