Taurus 'First 24' Survival Kit

Always interested to see what's in these kits. But , thanks anyway. ... Snub nose , worthless compass, does that knife even have a sheath ? ...

Point is : if that cool case was in a good daypack , loaded with stuff that fit an individuals own set of needs , skills , and taste it would be better : for the owner. I assemble mine , you assemble yours , everybody is better off.

Well, come on now...it's slick marketing...at least a year behind the curve [rolleyes]

What "complete" kit on the market is actually worth a damn anyway? I'll build my own over a store bought kit any day.

$550 gun
$40 knife
$5 compass
$5 mylar sheet
$10 paracord
$30 ammo
$25 signal flare
$10 tactical light sticks
$40 flashlight
$10 fire starter kit
$5 box with 2 AA batteries
$15 two speedloaders

$565 waterproof plastic box?

I've been thinking about making up a kit like this for a while, put in in a pelican waterproof case, knock a hole in the wall somewhere, re-drywall it with a thinner sheet i can knock in effortlessly, tape the joint and make it look the wall look normal. I will be the only person who knows where it is (and just in case, a memo about it would be in a safety deposit box).

It is actually very cool. When I saw it, I was thinking, for 5 or 600 dollars that would be awesome. But of course not. Just a hair too much to be worth while...

This...but FIFY. Plus, That's the kit for people that want to be found. Where's the one for those who just want to disappear?

If tactical light sticks are like light sabers, then IM IN For group buy.

Say what you want about Taurus, but I like both of mine. That revolver is worth more than 300 alone. When you include what looks to be a nice case, and the other stuff, 5-600 is reasonable. For 300, I'd buy two.

Line the cut ( like a border or gasket with thin wire or fishing line. Start and finish at a high point. Fix the end of the wire to a picture hook. Repair tape and plaster or joint compound. Grab the picture hook like a handle and zip the wall open with the buried line.

If one is the kind of premeditated prepper to bury stuff in the wall , might as well make it a cool system.

That is wicked awesome, until my wife gets motivated to redecorate and forgets about it and is like "oh I will change this picture on my own, I don't need Mike's help" and they half way through realizes that it was the secret stash.
