The queer people who are buying guns to prepare for Trump’s America

Won't read it. Won't click the link.

This is an article written to stir people up and illicit an emotional response. I have no use for such things.

The same liberal media that convinced certain groups that a Trump presidency will be dangerous for them and they should be afraid, will now try to convince people that those groups are now dangerous to people they give a different label. Queers, fascists, homo, redneck, what is your label.
I hope that some of these folks get exposed to the firearms community and come to realize that they are just regular people, and that those in the firearms community realize that their new acquaintances are just regular people to.

They want us at each others throats. I will be damned if I am going to let them push my buttons. I can decide whose throat I want to choke on my own, thank you.
Well, Trump has allegedly announced that on inauguration day, he plans on releasing multiple executive orders to roll back trans rights, and protections. Further, the evangelical wing of the party has been clamoring for a rollback of gay rights for years. So it's reasonable for LGBT people to be concerned.

On the other side, guns are not the proper response to such political activity. Neither is violence.

Guns are appropriate when the next incarnation of the Gestapo shows up at your door, to transport you to the gas chambers. Then, it's game on.

sorry.. no problem with gays, but trans people... IMHO serious mental disorder there... just as serious as schitzo or severe depression... I wouldn't want them to own a firearm for their own (and others) safety..

however, it's their right, and I'm not gonna take it away from them..

I'm glad they finally understand what the second amendment is about. Maybe they'll stop trying to infringe on it in the future.

What are you going on about? Its was a joke, not a dick, don't take it so hard.

I didn't write that. It's a quote from Dear Leader from his Time "Person of the Year" Interview. I'd expect the team here would all appreciate and bask in the newly issued guidance.

We'll all need guns for the brewing class war. The billionaire class already got your vote and they don't need you anymore. Look at what happened during Covid. It's only going to get worse.

I don't need guidance from anyone to make shit posts on an internet forum.

Sure, everyone should arm themselves. Good point?

The issue is that you need to arm yourself before the Gestapo show up otherwise it's too late. Sure guns aren't the response to political activity. They are a last line against a tyrannical government. Half the people here argue about having guns to protect themselves from a tyrannical government, I don't see why it's any different for queer people.

And looking at a few of the comments in this thread alone, I can understand why some of them are worried.

My Bernie supporting Jewish friend up in Vermont says this time around, Trump is gonna come after his people so he bought an AK. Sucks that he can only have cuck mags up to 15 though lol.

Yep, and it's no different than all the right wing people stocking up on guns when Obama/Biden got elected cause they were coming for them too. It seems to just be a common reaction to buy firearms in this county when there is an election. Sales numbers always spike around that time.

there's a huge difference between "coming for my people" and "coming for my guns".

we've already seen serious rhetoric by Dems about gun confiscation. Rounding up Jews is pure paranoia.

There was plenty of "coming for my people" from the right too. It's not exclusive to any political affiliation. People worry when their "side" isn't in power.

The difference is that the left does want to come after the right’s people. Look at how they hunted down J6 participants, investigated anti trans parents as domestic terrorists, etc. Us wrong thinking Neanderthals need to be removed from society for wrong think about the left’s radical bullshit.

Left and right are the same. Both complete authoritarians who want to go after those who disagree or have different views.

Then he better buy two for when I drive up there and give him an atomic wedgie

If the prices of groceries don't come down, will your presidency be a failure?

I don't think so. Look, they got them up. I'd like to bring them down. It's hard to bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard. But I think that they will. I think that energy is going to bring them down. I think a better supply chain is going to bring them down. You know, the supply chain is still broken. It's broken. You see it. You go out to the docks and you see all these containers. And I own property in California, in Palos Verdes. They're very nice. And I passed the docks, and I've been doing it for 20 years. I've never seen anything like it. You know, for 17 years, I saw containers and, you know, they'd come off and they'd be taken away—big areas, you know, you know, in that area, you know, where they have the big, the big ships coming in—big, the port. And I'd see this for years as I was out there inspecting property and things, because they own a lot in California. And I look down and I see containers that are, that are 12, 13, 14 containers. You wouldn't believe they can hold each other. It's like crazy. No, the supply chain is is broken. I think a very bad thing is this, what they're doing with the cars. I think they lost also because of cars. You know, there are a lot of reasons, but the car mandate is a disaster. The electric, the EV mandate.
You can make a drinking game from all the "you know"

They can f*** off

They support/have supported those who wish to disarm the people so I won’t lift a finger to help them.

I'm old now. My views have changed over the years. I like to think I'm smarter now than I was 10 or 20 years ago.

If they're starting to see the light, and coming over to our side, they will often will become the most pro-gun folks around.

Take the win... the rest is noise.

Anything specific ?
If you mean no trannies in women's locker rooms or bathrooms , I'm all for it.
Women have rights too and that includes not being exposed to some mentally ill person waving their hairy bean bag in their faces against their will.

And not getting the shit beat out of you in women's sports by some dude twice your size too.
Other than that is there any rights being taken away?

Problem is , they will still vote for the folks that want to take them away.
Till they stop doing that they are no friends of the Second.

I’m the opposite

I’m getting older and was once welcoming but after the last 10 or so years.

They can rot in hell

Who knew the US was so divided!

At some point our country will have to dome together to some degree, and my fear it will take a larger, dangerous common enemy to do so.
