Tokarev vs 1911

East German and Russian military are C&R .... Chinese, Bulgy and commercial Russians are not C&R.

Sellers just don't want to date individual pistols from a large lot just to identify a C&R or two, to accommodate us Mass Collectors.

I really think a few of of latest Bulgarian Makarov's that recently arrived for $300 must be C&R; but as they can sell them hassle-free to most States, we are screwed.

And I can't think of a single Massachusetts Governor or AG in my considerable lifetime that would ever take the side of the Gun Owner.

Well, at least I don't live in NJ where they will jail you for a Flintlock.

Look at the P64 for a cheaper but well made carry option. Wolf springs make the P64 an awesome CCW option that is C&R eligible....

I have a P64 and like it. It is not drop safe with the safety off, so a cautious person will carry it with the safety on, even though it has a heavy double action trigger pull.

I finally shot my Romanian Tokarev over at Granite State Range today.

I thought the Father's Day Special meant I'd pay $10 instead of the usual $20. WRONG. As a Father I shot for FREE !

Nice Range, Nice People, and Nice Pistol.

My Tokarev functioned exactly as it is supposed to, with Prvi Partizan brass cased ammo.

It felt good in my hand, and comfortable shooting either one-handed or both. Hardly any recoil, and accurate. It may be my favorite shooter !

I bought my Romanian TTC from a fellow NES'er a few years back. They are nice guns for the price. I ended up deactivating the safety on mine.
I still have about 1000 surplus 7.62x25 rounds and I shoot it occasionally. I save all my new production x25 brass but I don't have a die set for that caliber yet. I may end up reloading for it some day, but that's the only gun chambered in 7.62x25 that I own and I don't shoot it often. It is true though, that one day all the surplus ammo will be long gone. It's too bad. It was cheap when it was plentiful.
