Transfer firearm

Im not sure if this topic was covered or not, but i was wondering how would i transfer my fathers firearm to me, as he has passed away 2 years ago. If anyone has any info that would be great. Thanks

Sorry for your loss. Whomever handled his estate is the person to be in contact with to fill out an FA-10 if you're in MA and transfer it to you.

If you're not in MA, just go pick it up and take it home. FA-10 foolishness doesn't exist in free states.

If the gun was specifically left to you in a will, you can just take it home and file a FA-10 IIRC, absent of that the executor needs to take you and the gun to a FFL for transfer

I bought the house shortly after his passing from my mother. So i just need to fill out the FA-10 even tho I technically didn't inherit it? Sounds easy enough???
