Illegal.

You get strung up by a Tribal Court, under Tribal Rules of Court. Effectively you aren't in CT or even in the USA wrt the laws there.

Lottsa luck,

I did some serious digging and found that we can't carry on any tribal land without a PERMIT from the Tribal Council (never gonna happen)! Even LEOSA doesn't cover LEOs visiting such places, from what I can tell. However, IANAL.

We go to Mohegan Sun once or twice a month to attend concerts, so I was very interested in this area.

Here are the laws of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe:

Good news is that I don't think they scalp offenders any more, at least not literally! [laugh2] [wink]

Here's a post with info on Mohegan Sun law, posted on DefensiveCarry.com (requires registration to read it, but great forum):
http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=21153

The link he posted in the above-referenced thread doesn't go to the text without doing a "search", so I'll post the text and reference below:

You can find the the gun Laws in Chapter 6

ARTICLE V. FIREARMS

Sec. 6-121. Permit Required.
No person shall carry any pistol, revolver, rifle, shotgun or any other firearm within the boundaries of The Mohegan Reservation for any purpose unless said person has been issued a permit to carry such firearm by The Mohegan Tribal government. Provisions to apply for and issue such permit may be enacted at some later time, at the discretion of The Mohegan Tribal Council.
(Ord. No. 97-02, § 1, 2-28-1997)

I fully expect the almost word-for-word law for Foxwoods.

Found that referenced site doesn't change URL upon searching it. Put "firearms" in the search box and this is what does come up, with the sole exemption.

The provisions of this Article shall not apply to the carrying of any pistol or revolver, rifle, shotgun or any other firearm by any officer of The Mohegan Tribal Police, any peace officer of the State of Connecticut or federal marshal or other federal law enforcement agent.
(Ord. No. 97-02, § 1, 2-28-1997)

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, no weapons are permitted on
the Mashantucket Reservation, which includes Foxwoods Resort Casino,
even with a permit. The only persons permitted to be on property with a
firearm are those employed by Law Enforcement. This includes CT State
Police and Tribal Police only when on duty. I hope this offers you
adequate clarification. If you have other questions, please contact us
at 1-800-FOXWOOD and ask to speak with our Security department.

tribal law

It is true that they have their own law and law enforcement outside of state laws. A friend of mine has a conflict with tribal council over a 10k pay out on the poker table and guess who won?[crying]
