Hey guys. The wife and I are gonna go away for the weekend up north. Not looking to do anything in particular just looking to get away from it all. I'd like to make it a little fun stopping at some gun shops up north. Any help on ones i should check out would be great

Guns in Maine

Starting at the border on 95

Maine Military - Holden

Those are only the one's I would recommend, there are plenty of others. Google is your friend. I could spend a day in Bangor alone. If you are ambitious you can push on to Houlton!

Kittery and MMS are WAY high on prices. There are shops everywhere up here. Bills gun shop in Orrington not to far from MMS is a class 2 SOT and makes some kewl stuff. A bit past Bangor is old town trading post GREAT place. Up RT 9 a bit from Bangor is Dietrich gunsmithy a class 3 sot. From there drive another hour on RT 9 towards Calais stop by my place bring lots of 5.56 and 9mm and we can play machine gun...

Of course the "mother load" is in St. Albans, VT, the CAI warehouse where they bring in foriegn military arms by the train car load. I have known folks that managed to get inside and see pallets of machine guns.

Seeing them is good but as you can not buy them ( intact ) and bring them home to shoot it is kind of pointless to me.
