Ugh…. Guys… don’t call them “C”aniks…

They are very popular and well received in USPSA. I have not seen them to hold up and perform any worse than the other brands….
I'm teasing- slightly. Lots of horror stories, but I have to say the TTI has a great trigger for a striker fired gun. If i had a spot for them in my rotation, I would consider them, but alas.....

I had a Turkish student about a year ago who was determined to get a Canik as his first gun because patriotism.

He told me about the correct Turkish pronunciation. He also said it didn’t matter that much.

Gun pronunciation is difficult.
Korth rhymes with court.
Walther sounds like Valter.
Sabot rhymes with saybo.
Etc.
But then again we're on a forum where half the people think yea means yeah and, a lot is one word. There's no way we're getting Canik right.

Had an argument today and I realized the truth appear somehow to be a public secret lol…

FFS folks, please don’t call those pistols Canik. The correct pronunciation is Janik…with bias on the “i”…

And now you know 😛
so, the J is now the new C? awesomesauce.
