Does anyone have an experience with the vz. 61 Scorpion? Is it a reliable/good shooter?

Based on the manufacturer’s specifications it weighs less that 50 oz and the barrel is not threaded. My question is regarding what constitutes a barrel shroud?

There appears to be a part the firearm between the magazine and the barrel that one could conceivably hold with the nontrigger hand but it is bare metal and probably heats ups to the point where it would burn but I do not know that for a fact. If anyone owns this can they speak to if holding the firearm in the aforementioned area would cause a burn?

(C) a semiautomatic pistol that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least 2 of--
(i) an ammunition magazine that attaches to the pistol outside of the pistol grip;
(ii) a threaded barrel capable of accepting a barrel extender, flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer;
(iii) a shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel and that permits the shooter to hold the firearm with the nontrigger hand without being burned;
(iv) a manufactured weight of 50 ounces or more when the pistol is unloaded;

I know that I could go the SBR route but I would prefer to obtain it in pistol form if it meets MA AWB regulations.

I have one I built from a parts kit last year. It is a cool little plinking toy but not much more than that. It's reasonably accurate but you're not going to win any bullseye competions with it. I havent had any problems with the 10 round mags, but the 20 round mag jams up once in a while. It's a little too heavy and unbalanced to shoot like a normal pistol, and it's awkward to hold the magazine with your support hand. HOWEVER, it's different and cool. It also has one other fun thing going for it: aimed bump fire.
There is nothing on the pistol that would count as a barrel shroud. That area you are talking about is just the barrel trunion. If you can find a dealer to get you one you shouldn't have a problem.

I can only tell you that it's the worst gun you can possibly equip in Goldeneye 64.

Ah yeah, I think it was called the "klob" in that game... man what a classic!

Anywho, back to some real advice. Its an OK gun in Call of Duty: Black Ops. If you put extended mags on it, you can really hose people up close. Go for up close and personal action. Like said eariler, dont think you can easily snipe people with it.
