A man armed with a handgun apparently shot himself accidently during a confrontation over a handicap parking spot at the Westfield Vancouver Mall this afternoon.

>snip<

He had apparently confronted another man about parking his motorcycle in a handicop spot, said Vancouver police Cmdr. Scott Bieber. He struck him with his cane and then took out a gun when accidentally shot himself.

Guy 1: Hey you can't park your bike there, thats a handicapped spot.
Guy 2: what do you care... your not handicapped.
Guy 1: oh yea? **BANG**

Can't a motorcyclist be handicapped? I've seen guys riding with artificial limbs.

Yup.
I shot these pics myself.

If the biker had a handicap tag or sticker he has as much right to be in that spot, but if not the "shooter" took things a bit too far. I HATE it when someone parks in a reserved spot (handicapped, expectant mother, etc,) that doesn't belong there and when confronting them most have that "don't give a sh.." attitude about it, but it's easier and most satisfying to just call the cops as the fines are pretty stiff.
