How is everyone's accuracy with the Walther P22 3.4 inch barrel? I can't seem to get my groups as tight as I'd like. Anyone else having this problem?

With my P22 I can keep all shots inside a 8" circle no problem at 10 yards at a somewhat rapid fire, using federal bulk pack. If I slow down, I will get most shots inside of 3-4 inches at the same distance. I do not expect better accuracy out of this gun, this ammo, or myself for that matter.

What type of 22 ammo are you using?

I have shot remington thunderbolts in my P22 and found severe leading causing horrible accuracy in only 100-150 rounds.

I am using Remington HV, 40 gr HP Golden, CCI Mini-Mags and Winchester Super-X HV. The Remingtons seem to be the most accurate. My groups are about 4"-5" from 30 feet. I just picked up a laser to see if I can improve on that.

Mine will keep everything in a 50yd slow fire rimfire target (however big that is? 8"?) at seven yards. I'm the weak link on this gun; can't grip it comfortably to save my life.

My wife loves it, though, so it's serving its intended purpose.

I find it quite accurate although i spend quite a bit of time with the sights. Only complaint i have is it hates the cheap federal ammo, not sure now you are using it SJAN....had to switch to the more expensive cci stingers and haven't had a problem yet.

At 10yds, I'm getting about 4-5 inches with Federal 550ct bulk. No where near as accurate as my Rugers, but I don't mind since it was never meant to be a tack driver. It's plenty accurate for my purposes and it a lot of fun to shoot.

I tried the Winchester Super-X and the Remington Golden HV hollow-points 525 bulk packs. There were a few jams with the Winchester, but the Remingtons shot great.

This is what I am doing with the same ammo, and distance. I only shoot it with my AAC Aviator on it though. I found it runs a lot better suppressed - probably because I don't clean it anymore.

I can't find it now, but I followed some nice instructions with pics that shows how to make the P22 run well. It involved a complete disassemble, smoothing a lot of sharp edges, tweaking the angle of the extractor, and maybe some other things. I'll see if I can find where that information is posted. Might have been on rimfirecentral.com or ar15.com

I sanded down the section of the slide that rides over the hammer, just a bit, and now it runs well on all types of ammo. Either that or it is just broken-in from the 2000+ rounds of Mini-Mags I put through it. Now if I can only get my groups tighter.
