I wouldn't pay anything over 500 for a WASR personally. I went with a I.O AK-47. There American made in NC. Shoot great and never had a problem with it. Mags fit very good in it. I'd check them out if I were you I payed $530 for mine.

What store had the rifle in stock or is a distributor?

We'll I bought mine in NC when I was stationed there. I did however have to make mine mass complaint (remove bayonet lug, and pin the muzzle brake). Just Google I.O AK-47. You prob will have to get it shipped FFL. I'm not sure if any mass stores are carrying them off hand. You could try calling a few.

If your worried about it just buy a saiga, if you really want a pistol grip get a tapco T6 but pin the stock, thats what i would do
