It's not the 700s I'd want to try. I have some Barnes 275gr solids that have a huge hollowpoint cavity - like a 1/2" hole punch. When (if) they do peel back, the edges are like razor blades.

What's the big deal with a FN 5.7?

My older brother owns a gun shop down in VA.He usually wears his 500ES when at the counter, mostly for conversation and laughs but as he says " even if I don't remove a chunk of them,they'll know to be looking for a deaf sumbitch with char marks from the muzzle blast" 
The .500 out of a < 3" barrel is quite impressive.At night it's almost a religious experience.
It is almost impossible not to laugh at the absurdity of it after firing one,but I've never met anyone who didn't like my far less impressive PS-90 either.There's not much comparing a mild fthoop,not even a decent bang,of the 5.7 with the KERFWHOOOOM of the .500.The big difference is that after a box of SS195 you think "that was a fun way to blow $25" but there's no way in hell I could take 50 rounds from The Mangle 'em in one sitting...I'm a wimp.
