What's the Glock Market looking like in MA

I never understood the braying about Glock finishes in the Gen 5 is by far the best one they've ever had in recent history. Also if it gets marks on it who gives a shit that's the whole point of the gun is to get f***ed up and not worry about it LOL I even have some of the Gen 4S that have the worst finish they've ever fielded and it's really not that bad is that shitty satiny gray type finish that marks pretty easy but it doesn't compromise the overall appearance or the functionality of the gun in any way
Its a fxckng Glock. I really don't care either....and Im not braying over it......I care more about parts compatability with other frames/ guns for this thing.
Meaning I can buy a few cheap SCT's and throw them in the bag as replacements if needed, or whatever.

Ive got a gen 4 that Ive shot and carried a ton, and it looks like NIB. Just my take......All my Gen 5's have lost finish or show wear way earlier....again not that I care....and its not the reason I sold them, simply what Ive noticed but lets end it there. I could GAF.

I sold them up in MA because well....MA....and I needed to get rid of all the shit ass 10 RD crip mags.....So get what I paid for them (more really cause people are uneducated) up there and just take the money and buy new guns down here for less money and have 17 round mags included and I still have $300 left in my pocket and all new guns with all new 17 round mags. Then I took 100 out of the 300 and bought 10 KCI's whicn I find are pretty good mags. Have double the amount of mags now all std cap, and still a couple hundred heavy. No brainer really.

Transfer of frames into MA as "gun under federal but not state law", then building up the gun an eFA10'ing the gun you "built".
That is not closed......Glocks are on the roster, you can transfer any gun/frame on the roster new law specifically states that.........frame stuff is done per AG regs now I think.

Other guns not on the roster...yes......that loophole is closed. Because a frame is a firearm now....and if its not on the roster its a no go.

Because they're fixated on DTE and trained to be afraid of everything. They have been only listening to faggots since 1998 telling them that "new glocks are illegal "

There's a segment of retard level gun owners in mass that feel like they need a security blanket or something like that. 🤣

I need the state to tell me exactly what I can own!
NO …..I crave it !

G43x have the shitty grey finish. A little Elite Blackout cerakote fixes that issue

Glocks are bling for poor gun owners. The finish matters.

Nah, poors don't buy Glocks. This is actually a thing at gun retail and when you've serviced one of these customers you generally feel dumber afterwards. I've seen it happen with other brands as well like I remember this one guy who was all upset that his new Sig p365 had a mark in the slide that none of us in the shop could actually see maybe just barely? with the light tilted at it or something it was completely bizarre we just swapped out the gun for him but the entire premise was ridiculous because the person who got his gun later just didn't even give a shit or didn't see it or whatever because it basically didn't exist.

The other ones I really like are the ones that pull a slide back on a Glock and then complain that there's no bronze grease in it (guess what! Some new glocks just don't have it!!! Lmao) and you start thinking about these f***ing people and you're like "do they even shoot the guns?" they're complaining about some crap that comes on a commodity handgun I mean I can't possibly think of anything more lame than that. 🤣

And I'm not saying all these claims are invalid but there's an awful lot of them that you're just kind of like scratching your head trying to figure out what the problem actually is.... and it's not like I haven't seen guns that did have legitimate Metallurgy issues or whatever from the factory... that does happen, eg like which caused them to start rusting or something... not glocks but like M&P and some other shit like that have had veins of guns with metallurgy problems with the slides.

My g43x looks perfectly fine and I'm not doing a f***ing thing to it because it's just not necessary.

Mine literally looks like the gun in that picture straight from the factory. 🤣 then again I don't have an MOS version so maybe those came with a shittier finish or something... but frankly it's a carry gun like I can't even possibly fathom the idea of like just cosmetically messing with the thing unless it was like dragged down a highway or something.

What's the rifle analogue for the poors? I just got another PSA, my fourth now but this time it's a Sabre so it feels more like the king o' the poors.

Out of all my pistols my P365 has the weakest finish. Few times in and out of the holster and it had wear marks on it. Nothing I'd bitch about but it was there and I was a bit disappointed. My M&P 9 on the other hand still looks brand new. No idea how my glocks will hold up. I have a gen4 and a gen5. I just gave up on finding a holster for them. Very little luck finding left handed holsters for a G20 and a G40. I know they are out there but I would like to physically see it before I bought it. I dont need anymore door art from impulse purchases.

This reminds me of when I worked in a motorcycle shop. Not a dealer type place. Our primary market was track bikes. Some of the crazy shit people would complain about.

I have an older version as well that doesn't have the accessory cutout on the bottom of frame. I assume yours is that type. Those older ones had very nice finishes

Nah. Radical takes the prize. Check out the tooling under the cover, never mind the 8-10 degree canted gas block or that it shoots 8-10 MOA. I don't even run it anymore but it would likely go on a 'hand-to-a-buddy-during-SHTF-who-cant-shoot-for-shit-anyway' rifle. A lil disappointed. You'd think those Texas boys would take more pride in their work. At least Keltec's florida man can build something ugly AF but shoots straight.

Yeah, forgot about f***lical but I still think BCA is worse. Radical is pretty bad tho. I remember getting a batch of them in at one time and then we had like two of them that literally wouldn't cycle by hand properly you had to mortar the f***ing things on the floor to get the bolt to open that's how bad the QC was.

I cant speak for their AR stuff. I probably wouldnt buy it because there is Palmetto and Anderson out there.

I do have a Bear Creek 17 clone and although the design for holster fit is retarded. The frame in hand fits me nicer than glock. And the trigger is nicer than a stock 17. The gun runs.

But the finish is not there and your really skinflinting to save 100 dollars over a real Glock
that you would get that back in resale value easy

I bought it as a kitchen drawer gun that I figured might just be a waste of 295 dollars. Or at least i could use the frame or scavenge gen 3 parts off it

But surprisingly it runs and the frame hand fit is actually nice. And its American made in NC.

Overheard at four seasons one of the shop employees said exactly that. "Glocks are illegal in MA unless they were made before 1998. They're very rare and command a premium. We have one on the wall. However there's far better pistols today -- might I interest you in checking out the brand new M&Pee 9"

I respect Carl's stance and concern. And his counter-peeps can't say, "well, it's a bullspit 'gray area' that you could work around at other shops." So what else do they say? Hopefully they steer them to a Sig or something and not a M&P. Just never liked taht line one little bit.

I only buy 17's now, Im done with small guns. I carry the 17 even down here in summer. Just started my 17 collecting for the go bag....this week.

New 17 Gen 3 bought last week.....450....

New 17 Gen 4 FDE incoming 500 bucks...tough to get them anymore actually unless its some Talo edition, or some Freakshow weird finish dipped overpriced nightmare. Or you want a beatup PD trade...lots of them out there.

Found an absolutely cherry 17 Gen 3 with 3 mags for 350 at the LGS today when I was dropping off another gun for sale, the teflon pan finish which is the most durable IMHO. I don't think the darn thing was fired ever.

Not a fan of Gen 5 sold all of them...all up in MA.......their DLC finish kinda sucks...not that it matters much, but I want something I can change parts out in between guns/and other frames etc.....Gen 3 is the most modular and still seems to have the older style finish.....and is about as tested as they come.

Could get talked into a Gen 5 G45 for carry.....at some point maybe......

17 concealed?? Should we change your screenname to Big Mark???? ;)

They steer em towards the M&P cause the MA version comes with a 250 lb trigger. And the FS guys behind the counter say MA folks need that Apex and typically everyone pays em to just put the Apex in there right away.. for a fee of course.

I basically gave away the ~6 cripple pmags I bought in MA when I sold a G26 right before I left. I didn't want to be reminded of having to put up with that s#^&. I used them as training mags and they ran great, so I actually just bought 12 of various capacities (15, 12 and 21 round) for training to keep the wear off my factory mags for practice. I now run a 12 round pmag in my G26. The old ones used to be junk but I think they got that ironed out.

Looking into private sale/transfer for a Gen 5. What's the prices looking like after the loophole was closed and are preban mags still "legally: transferable?
Looks like it always has. Stupid and/or lazy people think they can't get glocks, argue glocks are illegal, argue in the face of contrary evidence that they can't be purchased, etc and they then go to the Deli Ticket Emporium or visit @Reptile and donate their money to prove their own stupidity.

Maybe READ before you post. I love noobs who come and insist on a first impression of ignorant cuck.

I wonder if we can get a new feature added to NES that does not allow anyone here less than a year from posting on topics of Glocks, ARs, frames, assault weapons, assault-style firearms? There is a wonderful new trend of signing up and within the first couple weeks posting a completely stupid question and then ARGUING with the answer they received because someone told them otherwise...

They love to argue until the 1 person in 10 agrees/ validates their preconceived notion...

Tell me more about this bronze grease, what have I been missing?

Also, Glocks are the Jordans of the gun world. All the poor kids want one.
