What's your favorite MA compliant compact .40 caliber pistol?

USP .40 in a Crossbreed. This and my m&p .45 are my EDC. Wherever I go, one of them is with me.

Skinny: Kahr K40. Not particularly fun to shoot, but a large enough grip for all your fingers. And it is thin. Really, really thin.

Not so skinny: Glock 23. Reliable. A bit fat, but otherwise space efficient. Fast to reload.

Both can be found in MA, though you will end up getting a used one.

Good man.

Never had a .40 and never will.

Go get a .45. I have three .45's handguns if you want to try out?

+1
i own only one .40 auto (a P229) which is so that I have the option to shoot .40 if need be. I have no intention of ever owning a 2nd .40 auto.

there is nothing wrong w the .40 I just love 9mm and .45 when I feel short-man-syndrome

the pm40 is the best semi auto .40 in terms of concealment. never shot one, but damn that thing is tiny!

The PM9 is already quite snappy by my standards. I can only imagine the PM40 being a nightmare.

A few months ago i fired a 9mm and .40 shield together at the range. Both were using standard weight FMJ not +P. I could double tap the 9mm onto my target no problem. Switching to the .40 made followup shots damn hard for me. Im no shooting ace but I have to say the reason I dont go for a small .40 is because I think the training curve would be intense. Getting accurate multi-hits w a PM40 or shield .40 is easier said than done.
