What bullet weight is WWB?
These were 180(ish) gr. Which I believe is heavier than most factory loads.
I like my SW 1911 Pro Series in 9mm. Smooth action, very accurate and just a lot of fun to shoot in the lighter 9mm load. Like New unfired (outside the factory) can be found for around $1200, like new, range fired about $200 less.I love my Dan Wesson Pointman 9. But that's above your budget. I don't think you can beat a Springfield RO in 9mm. I think they go for like $600-$700?

I love the 1911 style pistol and have more than one in .45 ACP. For several reasons, I would like one in 9mm. I would like to hear from anyone who has one, the make, model and what they like or dislike about it. This does not have to be a fine target grade pistol, just one that is reliable and as accurate as your average out of the box 1911 in .45ACP and it will probably not be carried.
I would like the cost to be at or under $1000.00, but could go higher if necessary. Also, despite my screen name, I am no longer a resident of Ma, so can purchase whatever I want (finally)! I look forward to all responses.
I note that the S&W Pro 9mm got a lot of votes. I am leaning toward this gun except for one thing I have read about that might drive me crazy, the "loose" trigger. From what I have read online most of the S&W 1911's can have this "problem" to varying degrees. If any of you folks who have it look back at this thread, could you tell me if yours has the "problem", to what degree, and if you ever contacted S&W about it and their reply.
I may also consider a DW Pointman 9 if I can find a new one or an STI in a grade above the Spartan. Thanks, I appreciate all the replies.

View attachment 149380 Got the chance to shoot the new Trojan I bought, it's more accurate than I am and to shoot well. I rushed through 50 rounds at 10 yards.
