So I had an early day yesterday working in Providence, and took off around 12:30 PM. I knew what I had to do – ROAD TRIP:
Richies: Four people there, including one woman who asked, “So, what do I do when I’m tired of the gun – just throw it away?” Ammo stocks low, few milsurps or EBR’s – mostly shotguns, handguns and .22’s.
Strictland’s: Five people there, one guy buying a little pocket-sized colt semi. Short on ammo, good supply of milsurps. Picked up a box of 1000 CCI Large Rifle primers for $15.00
Zero Hour: Seven or eight folks there. Madmarco showed me his latest acquisition – a freakin’ German K43 rifle (Bastard!). Busy place, plenty of stock.
Callaghan’s: Closed on Tuesday – crap!
Gun Room: Pretty quiet – the usual good old boys BS’ing in the back. Picked up some .224 69gr BTHP bullets (Highpower), some 8mm (.323) bullets for the Lebel, and a 7.62x39 RCBS die set. I’m getting sick of the Wolf case prices.
I also stopped at the Wal-Mart in Bellingham. Ammo case pretty bare.
