Fishing the Pulaski is a ton of fun and waaayyy cheaper than going to Alaska.

When we lived in upstate NY in the late 60’s, it was legal to hook for salmon. My dad never snagged one.

What do you mean to hook?
It is illegal to snag so they try to get their line to get in their mouths then drag the hook to the mouth to hook them and then it it legal. They call it flossing. They do this because the fish do not bite on lures or bait.

I'm pretty sure it was a massive treble hook and they were attempting snagging. Again, this is 1967, 68? I was like -1 to 1 at the time, so I wasn't actually there. Just stories my dad told me when we were young. Whatever they were doing back then, it was legal.
Because I don't want to get arrested in NY for breaking some stupid law, like breathing...
