Has anyone ever used the "reduced power" spring kits in a J Frame revolver.

I'm not very concerned with my model 60 because I can shoot it SA, but the 642 I just picked up, being hammerless doesn't have that luxury.

The spring kits are short money, under 15 bucks and is certainly cheaper than a trigger job would be.

They have an 8 pound hammer spring and a 13 14 and 15 pound rebound springs

biggest concern would be a FTF

You can only go so light before you have trigger reset problems. I forgot how light the best bet was for the J frames that I had done it on, but I did do it and the first try I made it too light. Then I got it right on the money and it is better, not worlds better, maybe not even good enough to bother. And do yourself and get the brownells tool to do this if you decide to.
