Howdy - looking for advice re a pair of unused/stored 15 rd mags in pouch. They are likely from late 40s, maybe 50s

. Question is does it ruin their collector value if they are still in the (wax?) wrapping assuming saturated with cosmo ?? I’ve read conflicting opinions online. I’m not a real collector and not trying to appraise them etc. but if they are valuable to someone who is a collector I’d rather keep them intact if of any significance. Otherwise I’ll just fill them with ammo and have fun at the range. Any insight would be great. Thanks

Always worth more to a collector if it's still in the original packaging

I've always opened, cleaned and used them myself. Hell even opened and shot mummy wrapped m1 garands and mk1 no4's. They are yours, do as you wish.
