Your Perfect Handgun for CC? Post a pic

Another Vote for the Glock 26. Although I don't think there is any such thing as a perfect CCW the Baby Glock is, for me at least, the best combination of concealability, shoot-ability , and capacity. It goes where I go, no need to dress around the gun since it vanishes under a black t-shirt.

Can be easily concealed under most trench coats

I hate to admit it but I've been going with the Glock 19 recently. I've been mainly a Makarov and 1911 guy for years now but the idea of having 15+1 9x19 Hydrashocks ready to rock is appealing to me again. I just need to get some trijicon sights on it, replace the connector and trigger spring. The gun has been sitting in my safe not doing anything for so long, I figured I'd pull it out and carry it for a day, then it decided to stick around. ;)

I've been carrying my glock 26 most of the time now, formerly the kahr pm9 for summer carry but realized I love te glock more. Extra bulk isn't a problem at all (for me).

If its not the 26, it's my smith and Wesson pro series 3" compact, so another +1 for both these firearms!

My CC choice is totally depends on time of the year and weather.
Pocket/ankle carry Baby Micro eagle 380acp or M&P 340 in .357 mag or AMT backup in .45acp
Summer IWB Glock 36 or 27 or MK40 elite
Winter IWB/OWB Glock 30 or Wilson Combat 1911 or HK45

Ammo choice: winchester black talon or Federal HST in respected calibers.
I'm traveling in Minnesota right now and carrying Glock 27 IWB and pocket carry Baby Micro Eagle as a backup. It is extremely hot here but I can easily conceal these 2 guns with jeans and T-shirt.
On the side note, I will definitely buy Springfield XDs if I can find one. It is perfect when Glock 27 is too fat. XDs almost identical size as Glock 27 but much slimmer same as S&W Shield.
Shield is not that small at all. Kahr PM and MK are much smaller in barrel and more suitable for pocket carry then Shield IMHO.

Compact and subcompact Glocks are the perfect carry guns. They conceal easily under a t-shirt and are lightweight. I have the G36 and it carries like a dream. Nothing like 45 ACP on your hip[wink].

After cycling through S&W 340PD, Glock 30 , 36, 27, and an STI Escort, I settled on a Khar PM45. When working, Ruger LCP pocket carry.

I mostly carry S & W 642 in a pocket holster. Speed strip with an extra 6 rounds. Kershaw Leek knife. (wish they made guns as thin as this knife)

Sometimes a Ruger P345 IWB if I have enough clothes to cover it. Once in a great while, when I'm feeling nostalgic, I carry a GP100 OWB.

... I have still not found what I consider the perfect handgun for a CCW. Post your pictures of what you think the perfect CCW is for you.

With any luck, one of your post will steer me in the right direction. ...

Says ....

"snubking"?

but my allowance would only cover one of these:

Dont knock the 82, I have one and the thing is dead on accurate and pretty darn comfortable in the hand[grin]. If I didn't have my M&P (etc) I would carry one in a heartbeat. My only complaint is the mag release, I have to use my trigger finger to get it to depress all the way. I would likely cerakote it because the paint they use isn't overly durable. For the price, they're a good gun.

S&W 642 in warm weather and p345 in spring, winter and part of the fall.

No offense, but why do you carry a p345 in the spring, winter, part of the fall? I can just see a ton of other .45 choices that might better suit you. I don't mean anything by that, but I just want to know how you came to get a P345.

when i decided to get a 45 acp for carry, i found that the ruger p345 was very affordable. as an added benefit it was very accurate right out of the box. its been 3 yrs now and i have never had any problems at all with it. i shoot factory hardball, my reloads and factory hollow points (all 230 gr). i like the gun and i like rugers. the only other 45 that would interest me is one from wwii and that will most likely not fit in my budget. it came down to a choice between the p345 and the m&p 45 and the ruger won hands down. i would say that it is a personal choice imho.

eta: it also fits my hand better than most others do.
