10mm MA pistol

There is no "AGs roster" in MA. If you're thinking of EOPS roster, I think the G20 and G29 are on it. Maybe others? Smith 610 wheelgun, too..

Then again, who cares what's compliant, tis wholly irrelevant to you as a buyer. The most supported 10mm semi though now is the Glock 20 and Glock 29. Either not that hard to come by in MA, either.

unless somebody is reloading 10mm or just has a shit ton of 10mm ammo, i don't see the point of a 10mm revolver. might as well just go up to 44 mag or 45 LC and call it a day. at least the rimmed cartridge won't need a moon clip or whatever crap to hold the cartridge in place.

the glock 20 is a nice gun. handles the 10mm incredibly well in usual glock fashion. also can pickup a G21 slide and convert the G20 -> G21 to shoot 45acp, which is far more appealing to me and easier on the wallet. YMMV.

That's what I'd do too if I was ready for another cartridge.

sounds like logic from the Byzantine empire. If you're not gonna shoot 10, why not buy a G21 to begin with?

Also moon clips are anything but crap, frankly they're one of the few things that allows someone to run a revolver at speed.

ok, i the thing i was going for rather than "can" would be "should". allow me to explain what i am talking about.

buy the gun you want, don't make some frankengun where you're swapping out all these parts... not that lone wolf doesn't make good products, but to throw all this cash into your gun which you will then not shoot that often unless you get set up to reload 10mm you're just wasting your time.

Ok, but the reverse is possible?

Yes, it's possible to go from .45 to 10mm. Glockmeister has a Storm Lake conversion barrel (might be other makes out there too). However, I'm not sure if the .45 and 10mm use the same extractor, so there might be issues there. You can also buy a complete slide assembly in 10mm (G20) for $360 or a complete slide in .45 (G21) for $319. I believe that only Gen3 slides are available. You also need to add in the cost of magazines for whatever way you do the conversion.

Good point, worst case I can buy a 10mm slide.

you've got a lot of cash ready to throw at this. how often (be realistic) are you going to shoot this?

don't get me wrong either dude, 10mm glocks are cool. however i can go out right now and buy one on my way home--but i'm not going to. my pockets simply aren't deep enough to feed the gun.

I disagree, I already have ammo for 45, I'm generally a 1911 guy. I can shoot my glock in 45 and convert it to 10mm when I feel like it instead of paying for a whole new pistol. I want 10mm for a backpacking pistol.

My suggestion to you guys doing conversions to 10mm is if you plan to shoot a lot of it, you should plan to reload and don't skimp on the barrel. Buy a high quality supported chamber barrel cause a Glock barrel does a number on the casing. If you think 40's come out bulged try 10mm.

I'm going to buy a glock in 45 and convert it to 10mm, problem solved.

what was the purpose of this thread again?

I find it scary that somebody knows how to convert a Glock between calibers but does not understand MA Law enough to know that the approved weapons roster is published by EOPS and not the AG. Or how to find the roster online.
