10mm MA pistol

I was feeling lazy and didn't feel like looking for it. Just because a pistol is on the list doesn't mean it is mass compliant. It still has to pass the ag's consumer safety tests, effectively creating a double secret roster.

You can legally buy MA non-compliant firearms from a private party. If high capacity, be aware of mag restrictions.

edit: I see that you are aware of that

Could I convert a 45acp glock to 10mm with an after market barrel and some simple part changes?

Yes. See below.

what are you asking?

can you convert a .45 glock to 10mm? no. can you convert a 10mm glock to .45? no.

buy a glock 20 or a glock 29 if you want a 10mm glock. that's how 10mm glock-ing works.

Well, not 10mm EXACTLY, but .40, which uses the same size projectiles.

400 Corbon ammunition is designed to mimic the powerful 10 mm automatic, but loaded into a much more common cartridge case

Yes, it's possible to go from .45 to 10mm. Glockmeister has a Storm Lake conversion barrel (might be other makes out there too). However, I'm not sure if the .45 and 10mm use the same extractor, so there might be issues there. You can also buy a complete slide assembly in 10mm (G20) for $360 or a complete slide in .45 (G21) for $319. I believe that only Gen3 slides are available. You also need to add in the cost of magazines for whatever way you do the conversion.

If you are going to do this buy a G20 or a G21 which have the same frames then you can pick up a slide assembly for the caliber you don't have. Swapping the slide assembly and mag is all you need to do. I would just get a G20 if want a 10mm. 10mm is an extremely manly caliber not suitable for everyone... [emoji647] [emoji4]

I want to see and "easy to get 1911" in 10mm. Personally on my wish list is a Colt Delta Elite.

I found mine in the classifieds here on NES. Stainless steel, in very good condition. IIRC, I paid $650.

I'm not a fan of the factory Colt sights, trigger, grip safety, and thumb safety, so I had a gunsmith work on it for me. I probably dropped another few hundred into it.

If you are going to shoot 10mm, you really want to reload for it. Factory 10mm ammo is expensive and most gun shops won't have much selection.

I'm not trolling, but why is a 10 mm Glock considered a "good" 10 mm IF the .40s have unsupported chambers? Do the 10 mm barrels support the cartridge better than the .40 cal barrels? I thought the 10 mm cartridge was under higher pressure than the .40, but maybe that's not true.

Simply put all glocks are good and all their barrels are unsupported. Yes the 10 has higher pressure.
I think half the reason is free state or not, there's not many choices when it comes to the chambering

Uhh because the 10's are different guns? They have loose chambers too but the guns work very well for what they are, and handle hot 10mm without issue. 10mm cartridge also has a stronger casehead than .40 does.

Check out TheOl1911 on YouTube he for awhile did a video series on 10mm and Glock and all the different variants of 10 mm ammo (underwood, etc). I am partial to the 3rd generation S&W 1006 which is a huge all though I never fired one. Another one is the S&W 1076 which is what the FBI used until the agents complained of the handgun being too big and heavy and the round being too "powerful". The S&W 1076 is unique also because it has a Sig style decocker on the grip vs. the beretta style decocker on the frame.

sounds like logic from the Byzantine empire. If you're not gonna shoot 10, why not buy a G21 to begin with?

Also moon clips are anything but crap, frankly they're one of the few things that allows someone to run a revolver at speed.

Just sayin the 20 can be swapped over to a 21 fairly easily.

WRT moonclips, theyre also a 25c piece that if missing or broken cam render the entire firearm inoperable. Of course for competitive shooting or whatever theyre wonderful, but anytime i have put a moonclip full of 357 in my pocket it doesnt seem to workout so well as opposed to a amagazine.

I'm sure someone will be along to correct me, but if I remember correctly, it's a gen 2 with the accessory rail.
In that case, you can keep it. I have no use for that, and it just makes an already ugly gun uglier. I'll take smooth lines and rounded curves any day over a stupid useless "rail".

Finger grooves but no rail

^^this

i previously owned a G30 gen 2.5. it had finger grooves but no rail. actually kinda nice setup i sort wish i hadnt sold it but oh well.

something about the gen 2's still gets me excited.....perhaps the sloppy tolerances leads to more reliable action? hmm sounds a lot like my social life before I got married.

I have officially missed two for sale here. Once recently by a dealer. Poof' it was gone...

While there are better 10mm 1911's out there. I fell for the Delta Elite a long time ago. So I must make it happen lol.

Lol this is a 110% retarded statement considering the rail on the Glocks doesn't suck up a lot of space like it does on other guns. Also the smallest Glocks don't have rails, either, which makes sense.

If it was any more retarded, it would have an extra chromosome

I mentioned neither the word small nor the word space, as far as I can tell. That was ALL YOU!
