I just got a deal on 500 hard cast 140 grain TCFP .401 dia bullets, that I want to load for .40 S&W. No load data for that bullet weight in any of my sources. Anyone have a recipe for that bullet with Titegroup?

I looked in several places and couldn't even find that bullet.

Looking at the available data, you're probably safe between 5.5 and 6.0 grains. If you want, load some up and we can chrono them out of my 610 revolver.

I've found calling the poweder company has been a great way to get loads for off weights.

I used to have my source use a 9mm head, but I would have him size them from .356 to .358 so I could used them in my 357. But, as they were 147 grains and not 158 or 160s, finding load data was a pain.

So I called IMR and Alliant to get some loads for what I was using. They were extreemly helpfull and gave me some great places to start with the guns that I were using them in.

Just a thought.
