Continuing my train of thought over at the Facebook thread:
Yup - same people.
- People who Facebook.
- People who answer the phone for strange numbers.
- People who don't change their underwear.
- People who can protest during the work day.
I would venture a guess that a higher percentage of republicans think it should be illegal to be a democrat
More than a quarter of Democrats say it should be against the law to join pro-gun rights organizations such as the National Rifle Association (NRA)
The poll also found that 32 percent of Democrats favor declaring the NRA a terrorist organization in their home communities, while 14 percent of Republicans and 20 percent of unaffiliated voters agree.
Not just the NRA, any gun rights org.
There is no way this ends peacefully. That is too large a number of people who want agents of the state to force me at gunpoint (ironic) into a prison cell because I am a member of a private organization.
There will be bloodshed. Only a matter of time. Within my lifetime.

Support fair housing laws? Sure, just declare that each community has the right to regulate where Catholics, Jews, Muslims and Pastafarians can live and that this is not inconsistent with fair housing because you say so.1. Support the 2nd Amendment? Sure, all good Americans do. Just declare it to not apply to semi-automatic weapons, declare a mandatory buyback, seize and confiscate guns from those who will not comply with the law.
I suspect you are wrong. Many find it easy to justify anything because "it's the law".Are there enough US Citizens that would be willing to become Jack-Booted-Thugs to enable such a plan? No.
It's not so much a matter of justifying it because "it's the law" as it presently isn't their ox being gored.I suspect you are wrong. Many find it easy to justify anything because "it's the law".
But "communists" don't have a membership list that can be hacked and given to antifa, banks, and credit card companies. That's cool. I think it should be illegal to be a communist.

Allow me to translate your statement above.....
It IS illegal to pass laws that use the fed gov to punish political opponents
Its also illegal/unconstitutional to pass laws that have no basis in Article 1 Section 8 or anywhere else in the constitution..........
That in and of itself criminalizes pretty much the entire democrat party platform
So what......if you dont like the law then work to change it
You're an obtuse one arent you?
Just because congress passes a law that is clearly unconstitutional it doesnt mean you have the power/authority to disregard it without consequences/being charged with violation/crime
Everyone gets their day in court/can challenge (if they have standing) via the lawful/established process....and/or follow the law while working to change the laws/shitbag politicians in office that voted for it
